Deleting: Permanently closes your Stripe account
When to delete
Only delete your Stripe account if you're sure you won't need it. Deletion is permanent.
How to delete
Stripe account deletion is done through Stripe, not RemindToPay:
- First disconnect from RemindToPay
- Go to dashboard.stripe.com
- Sign in
- Go to Settings → Account
- Follow Stripe's account closure process
Before deleting
- Download any records you need
- Ensure all payouts have completed
- Resolve any pending issues
Can I undo deletion?
No. Once a Stripe account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account.
Just want to stop payments?
If you just want to stop accepting cards, disconnect from RemindToPay instead. You don't need to delete Stripe.
