Regenerating portal links

Get a fresh portal link if needed.

When to regenerate

You might want a new portal link if:

  • You think the old link was shared publicly
  • The client changed and you want a fresh start
  • For security reasons

How to regenerate

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Click on the client
  3. Find "Portal Link"
  4. Click Regenerate Link
  5. Confirm

A new unique link is created immediately.


What happens to the old link?

The old link stops working. Anyone who tries to use it will see an error.

Important: Let your client know they need the new link!


Do I need to do this?

In most cases, no. Links are secure and unique. Only regenerate if you have a specific reason.


Sharing the new link

After regenerating:

  1. Copy the new link
  2. Send it to your client
  3. Old bookmarks won't work anymore
