Enabling two-factor authentication

Protect your account with two-factor authentication (2FA).

3 min read

What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra step when signing in. Even if someone knows your password, they can't access your account without the second factor.

How it works

When 2FA is enabled:

  • Enter your email and password
  • Receive a code (via app or email)
  • Enter the code
  • Access granted

  • Enabling 2FA

    • Go to SettingsSecurity
    • Find "Two-Factor Authentication"
    • Click Enable
    • Choose your method:

    • - Authenticator app (recommended)
      - Email codes
    • Follow the setup steps
    • Save backup codes somewhere safe

    Authenticator apps

    We support standard authenticator apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy
  • 1Password

  • Backup codes

When you enable 2FA, save your backup codes! If you lose access to your authenticator, you'll need these to sign in.

    Disabling 2FA

You can disable 2FA in Security settings, but we recommend keeping it on for best security.
