Understanding client status

Client status helps you see who needs attention at a glance.

Client payment status

Each client has a status that shows their payment situation:

Paid ✓

The client has no outstanding balance. They're all caught up!

Pending

Payment is expected but not yet due. The client has an upcoming payment.

Overdue

The payment due date has passed and the client hasn't paid yet. These clients may need a reminder.


Where do I see status?

Client status appears:

  • On your client list (coloured badge)
  • On the client's profile
  • In your dashboard summary

How is status calculated?

Status is based on:

  • The amount due
  • The due date you set
  • Payments received

When a client pays their full balance, their status automatically changes to "Paid".


Taking action on status

For Overdue clients:

  • Send a reminder
  • Check if they received previous reminders
  • Contact them directly if needed

For Pending clients:

  • Reminders will be sent automatically (if enabled)
  • Or send a manual reminder before the due date
