Why some reminders show as bounced

Bounced emails usually mean there's an issue with the email address.

What does "bounced" mean?

A bounced email is one that couldn't be delivered to the recipient.

Common reasons for bounces

Invalid email address

The most common cause. The email address might:

  • Have a typo (e.g., "gamil" instead of "gmail")
  • Not exist anymore
  • Never have been real
  • Full inbox

Some email providers reject new messages when the inbox is full.

    Server issues

The recipient's email server might be temporarily down or blocking messages.

What to do about bounced emails

    • Check the email address - Look for typos
    • Contact the client - Ask for their correct email
    • Update the address - Edit their profile with the right one
    • Try again - Send a new reminder

    Preventing bounces

    • Double-check email addresses when adding clients
    • Ask clients to confirm their email
    • Keep contact details up to date

    Repeated bounces

    If an email keeps bouncing:

  • The address is probably invalid
  • Contact the client another way to get the right one
