How bank transfers work

Your bank details are automatically included in reminder emails and invoices sent to clients. When they pay you directly, you mark the payment as received in the app. For bank transfer clients, we recommend enabling “stop reminders after due date” so they don't keep receiving reminders after they've paid.

Who is this for?

RemindToPay is built for UK service providers who work with recurring clients - tutors, personal trainers, music teachers, dance instructors, yoga teachers, and similar professionals. If you regularly need to collect payments from the same clients, this is for you.

What if I don't want to use card payments?

That's fine. Your bank details are included in reminder emails and invoices, so clients can pay you directly via bank transfer. You just mark payments as received when they arrive.

How do reminders work?

You set when reminders should go out for each client - for example, 3 days before the due date, on the due date itself, or a few days after if payment is overdue. The app sends professional email reminders automatically at the times you choose.

What do my clients see?

Clients get their own portal where they can see their balance, pay by card, view payment history, and download receipts and invoices anytime. Bank transfer details are also included in reminder emails for those who prefer to pay that way.

Where does the money go?

Card payments are processed by Stripe and transferred to your linked bank account - typically within 2-3 business days. We never hold your money. For bank transfers, clients pay directly to your bank account using the details in their reminder email.

What are the transaction fees?

For card payments: 3% + 20p on Free tier, 2.5% + 20p on Pro tier. These are standard payment processing fees. Bank transfers have no fees from us.

Can I pass fees to my clients?

Yes. When setting up payments, you can choose to absorb the transaction fees yourself or pass them on to your clients.

Is this available outside the UK?

Currently, RemindToPay is focused on UK service providers. We may expand to other countries in the future.
